Research and construction of the digital library have become an important theme in the following of infomation technology advancement and rapid development of Internet since 1990 s. We are in the phase of study, research and test,it is meaningful to have better understand the concept of digital library and explore its road which suits our situation. This paper discusses the concept of digital library,its foundation, development of digital collection, digital technology issue as well as organization and managent involved in the constructions of digital library.
