摘要

情报科学（IS）主要是一门研究文本及其它类型信息检索的科学，而信息检索（IR）问题与含义和语义学理论有关。本文主要研究语义学理论与信息检索的关系，讨论了两个相反的语义学理论：描述理论和语言游戏理论，阐述了这两个理论对信息检索的不同结论。

Abstract：

Information science(IS) is a science which studies searching of text and other information. Information retrieval(IR) problems are related to meaning and semantics theory. This paper investigates primary the relationship between semantics theory and information retrieval. The picture theory and the theory of language game are discussed in the paper. The authors pay more attention to the consequences for such theories for IR.
