In the information age, researchers information literacy (IL) has become one of the major factors determining a country s research, invention and even the comprehensive national capability and international competitive capability. Based on the data received from the investigation, the recent IL level of Chinese researchers has been analyzed, and the necessity as well as the specific goal, content and method of the researchers-oriented IL education have been pointed out.
