This paper analyses and compares the virtues,defects and problems of CD-ROM searching and international online searching based upon services in China.It points out the competitive and complementary nature in them and suggests to bring their strong points into full play,and counteract their own weaknesses.It is very important that the CD-ROM databases must be reasonably imported and fully utilized.
