The Information Value and Assessment Selection of the CD-ROM Databases

Abstract  

This paper discusses the real meaning and the information value of applying CD-ROM databases. It also puts forward the assessment scope and the technical reguirements for data quality, retrieval technology and the maintainance of CD-ROM databases from the view point of useres as well as several tactics for selection according to the features of subscription to the CD-ROM database.
