| The Realization of Transforming the Format USMARC to CNMARC of Western Periodicals |

Abstract It is an effective way to set up the union catalogue database for western periodicals by using USMARC from bibliofile. The format transforming USMARC to CNMARC of western periodicals data is further studied, and the method has been proved rapidly and efficiently, with accurate data. This solution is of practical significance.
