Implementation of a HTTP/Z39.50 Gateway

The HTTP/Z39.50 gateway provide a new way to search and retrieve databases on Z39.50 servers on the Internet, and supply an effective technique to integrate the information search power of Z39.50 and accessibility provided by HTTP. The paper present a working model of the gateway. Also the key technology for realizing a stateful HTTP/Z39.50 gateway is mainly discussed.
