Digital Museum System Dased on XML Technology

Abstract  

Digital museum system based on XML techniques is discussed in the paper. Properties of XML, SVG, VoiceXML, etc. related to the system are described. Such considerations as selection of its platform, digitalization of museum contents, retrieval of multimedia data and sharing of these information resources are taken in the design course, which is helpful to construction of the system under circumstance of Internet. The proposed method can also be used in the organization, storage, retrieval and display of multimedia data for digital libraries and archives.
