Review of Development and Application Research of Push Technique

Abstract  

The Push technique is one of an information technique. It gets over the disadvantage of the Pull technique (the information pull technique) and provides a method with high efficiency and high speed for obtaining information. It will change the transmission and service modes of the information on the Internet and promote the development of the Internet. The application of the Push technique to the literature and information departments such as libraries will change the conventional passive service mode to the active information service mode, and improve the quality of the library information service. In this article, the development and application situations of  the Push technique in China and abroad are reviewed, in order to promote the development and application research of this technique in the fields of libraries and information services
