The Issue and Solution in Separating MARC with VB6

Abstract  

Separating MARC with VB6 is the common technology to master in library technical staff. There is an issue with the technology, because length of full-width word defined is 1 in VB6, and 2 in MARC. There are two ways to restore length of full-width Chinese word in VB6. It is reproducing the length and the starting position of data fields, at last establishing a source program.
