A Study on Intelligent Meta-search Engine Based on XML

Abstract  

This paper introduces an intelligent meta-search engine system based on XML and Agent. Regarding Agent as systematicbasic module, the system adopts the structure of meta-search engine, and utilizes autonomy and synergy of Agent to finish the user’s personalized information search. Using XML and XSL in the structured information expression aspect with in the information display and the conversion aspect merit, respectively, the system implements the meta-search engine’s scalability as well as the search result personalization output. Finally, discusses the application of XML and XSL in the query request and the transformation of search results as well as the communication among Agent based on XML.
