A study on the assisted diagnosis and treatment of TCM with multi NLP task: a case study of diabetes

[Objective]In order to provide more accurate and intelligent auxiliary reference for TCM diagnosis and treatment, and reduce the uncertainty and difficult to quantify problems in TCM diagnosis and treatment process.[Methods]In this paper, taking the medical record data of traditional Chinese medicine diabetes as an example, a TCM auxiliary diagnosis and treatment scheme integrating multiple NLP tasks is designed. The scheme integrates multiple NLP task sequences such as emotion recognition and text matching, and realizes the quantitative assessment of diabetes, symptom information matching, automatic symptom summarization, disease type discrimination and TCM recommendation, and carries out empirical research.[Results]The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used for ten rounds of test evaluation. The average membership degrees of the four evaluation indexes are 0.1949, 0.3140, 0.2173 and 0.2738 respectively. The maximum membership degree shows that the method is effective.[Limitations]Due to the scarcity of clinical medical record data, it is difficult to improve the performance of each subtask significantly, and it has not been extended to other areas for adaptability testing.[Conclusions] This method can help doctors to solve the uncertainty of diagnosis effectively in the practical use process, and can help doctors to form clear diagnosis and treatment conclusions, and has a relatively new academic value and important application value.
