Data Warehouse Design of Military Institute Library

Abstract  

This paper takes the Second Artillery College’s library as an example and explains the design of military institute library data warehouse in detail. The warehouse is based on the multidimensional data model and realized by Microsoft SQL Server 2000. It solves the problem of consistent storage of slowly changing historical data in warehouse by a slowly changing disposal on dimension table. This paper also proposes a new method to assess the use ratio of books in library.
