Comparative Study on Websites Scale Between China and America

Abstract  

The scale of Website is one of the most important factors impacting the degree of richness on Website information resources and efficiency of information retrieval, which can be evaluated or indicated with the number of bytes, files. pages and hyperlinks. 47 Websites have been sampled from 108 notable business and medicial schools or universities in America and China. The conclusion indicates that there is a great gap on the scale of Websites between America and China. Based on the analysis, series of reference standard have been put forward to direct the design and evaluation of university Website.
