Abstract  

With the development of Java and WWW, it is possible to visualize information retrieval based on Web. So called visualization technology is changing data into graphics or icons and displaying in the screen, utilizing computer graphics and image processing and human-computer interaction. Information retrieval visualization is utilizing data visualization in the IR. Through GUI users interact with IRS, evaluating the access results, optimizing the query, and improve the precise and recall. This paper mainly discusses human-computer interface design principles,visualization techniques,then introduces several kinds of information retrieval visualization models at the same time.
