JPEG2000 and the Application of It s Regions of Interest(ROI) of the Image Encoded/Decoded in the Digital Library

Abstract  

This paper presents Still Images Compression Standard-JPEG2000 s special decoding/encoding process,linked through narrowband network,it provides the approach which allows the reigons of interest(ROI) of the image encoded/decoded,puts forward to apply this technology to the searching images in the digital library.The author also presents how to create the ROI mask and how to implement ROI encoding/decoding.
