Digital Watermarking and Applications for Copyright  Protecting of Digital Works

Abstract  

This paper indroduces the concept of digital watermarking, the specific properties of watermarking techniques forced by the copyright protection applications, some classical watermarking algorithms .A new protocol to protect the intellectual property of digital multimedia using digital watermark is proposed. It will be able to give an authoritative proof of the copyright for the owner in time and confirm where the copies originate from. Therefore illegally reproducing is effectively prohibited.
