Utility of Object-relational Mapping in MIS Development

Abstract  

Object persistence is a rather basic method in software development, while object-relational mapping is a common solution to the requirement of object persistence. This paper introduces the basic concepts of object persistence and object-relational mapping in software development area, and demonstrates how to apply object-relational mapping techniques consciously in ordinary MIS through an actual development case.
