The Application of the Techniques Correlative to Network and Digital Video in Library

Abstract  

This paper introduces characteristics of network and digital video. Its implementation based on video server is described. With technology of video server perfect, users can monitor real-time images from long distance by network built previously. Video data compressed and encoded by video server are sent to computers, which decode the data, show video images, implement a simple surveillance system. A design of the surveillance system based on video server for the library is also presented.
