Ontology-Based Web Information Gathering

Combining the semantic Web technology with the traditional information retrieval technology,this paper gives architecture of Ontology-based Web information gathering, and proposes an approach for calculating the relevance between the Web pages and the predefined topic utilizing Ontology and lexicon. At last, some results of experiment and evaluations are discussed.
