[Objective] The purpose of this paper is to provide important basic support for the data collection and management of scientific research projects in the field of population health supported by national budget. This study focused on the functional design and implementation methods of the Population Health Data Archive (PHDA), in data collection of scientific research projects.
[Methods] By analyzing the characteristics of data collection of scientific research projects in the field of population health, this paper constructs data archive to meet the urgent needs of data collection and management of scientific research projects supported by the national budget, and designs a flexible and scalable framework and friendly, as well as easy-to-use functional modules.
[Results] PHDA has realized the functions of project information registration, project data collection, big data high-speed transmission, security preservation, data unique identification distribution, hierarchical and classified storage, access control and voucher issuance. It has effectively supported 292 datasets collection for 14 projects of National Special Program on Basic Works for Science and Technology of China in 2019.
[Limitations] Using data semantic, deep learning and other technologies to enhance data management, data semantic fusion and intelligent data analysis services, optimize the archive function.
[Conclusions] PHDA realized the management and sharing of data from research projects in the field of population health, which is of great significance to the collection, accumulation and security of scientific data in the field of national population health.
