This paper introduces the bar-code readers,which have been commonly used in circulation departments of libraries in China ,and their types,functions,features,the ratio between performance and prices,use effects as well as the overall comparisons among them.Some suggestions are made for proper use of readers and the future applications of China-made readers are also explored.
