Abstract  

CD-ROM database searching and online searching are the main computer information retrieval types today.Each of them has its features and weaknesses .CD-ROM database searching and online searching affect each other,coexist and competite.They make up each other s deficiencies in the coexistence,and thus strenghten the whole capacities of computer information retrieval.
