DEVELOPING VARIABLE LENGTH RECORD IN FOXPRO

Abstract  

The paper discusses the technique of using Foxpro's Memo field to develop variable length records,which overcomes the difficulties of XBASEs in managing DBMS fixed length bibliographic records.This method not only exhances the searching speed,but also saves a lot of disk spaces.It is believed that the DBMS using this technique length DBMS such as Oracle.
