Chinese word automatic segmenting is the basis of machine translation and indexing and intellectual retrieve and understanding & handling of natural language.This paper summarizes the method & positive result of chinese word segmenting in the past ten years,and analyzes characteristic of existing word segmenting.The author puts forward new ideas about combining nerual network with expert system to set up an integrated chinese word automatic segmenting system.
