Metadata: Data Organizing and Finding the Internet Resource

Abstract

Metadata means information about data . This paper gives an overview of metadata and explores the main metadata proposals (including Dublin core, PICS, Web Collections, CDF, MCF and RDF). Since metadata plays an important role in Internet resource organizing and Internet resource finding, the author calls on doing more research on metaclata.
