According to the logical programming and effective management at local area network, and combining with the particle conditions of the multimedia electronic document reading room of library at Harbin institute of Technology, the author discusses the overall arrangements of the multimedia electronic document reading room, selected optimum equipments and how to editing documents using the system under the Windows NT platform environments in the paper. The network security managements of the configuring documents and the proxy server techniques are also presented.
