| The Problems and Suggestions of Affecting the CSTPC Retrieving Efficency |

Abstract The authors find the users satisfactory rate is less than 10%,the retrieving effect and efficency is low according to the satistics of CSTPC(Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database) use of the University from 1996 to 1998. The authors analyze the causes of affecting CSTPC retrieving efficency and offer suggestions to improve retrieving efficency according to CSTPC structure,indexing quality, update rate and etc.
