In recent years, by the progresses of computer technology and network application, There are some new problems of library automation must to deal with in Taiwan academic Libraries. The client/server structure instead of host-base, but there are still some questions needing solution, such as copyright, adjusting library services to automation system, standardization of character sets,etc. The authors have analysed to those problems and made some suggestions for how to evaliation of library automation system.
