Push-The Key Technology of Improving Network Information Services

Abstract  

Traditional information obtaining method-Pull has its limitation. This paper introduces Push technology briefly. Based on the comparison between Push and Pull, the article point out the necessity of applying Push to network information services. Existing problems and developing tendencies of Push technology are analyzed. Its importance in digital library of science and technology is also discussed.
