Abstract As a principle component technology of supporting Internet mobile computing, mobile IP has greatly increased in popularity over the past several years. The paper analyses and discusses the core mechanisms and related processes, such as agent discovery process, registration process, datagram routing and forwarding process, of mobile IP protocol. Again a case of deployment of mobile IP in building an authentication and access contr
ol system for digital resource management is discussed, which can gracefully support mobile user to access and use legally the digital resources in a digital library.
