Design and Implementation of Embedded Retrieval Service for DSpace Repository System

Abstract  

This paper introduces the background of SRU(Search and Retrieve via URL)protocol and the reasons why the SRU is chosen as retrieval service for DSpace repository system.More specificially,the authors describe the architecture of the embedded retrieval service for DSpace repository system and build the retrieval service with JavaScript HTML and Google Gadget.It can integrate and embed with other system conveniently.
