Abstract This paper discusses semantic similarity and relevance based on domain Ontology. By analyzing and summarizing the various factors of existing quantification method, it proposes and implements a comprehensive quantification model of concepts in domain Ontology, which takes full account of the semantic similarity and relevance. This model applies the quantification results to semantic query expansion, and achieves a good effect.
