OAIS Reference Model and Chinese Metadata Schema

Abstract  

This document describes the conceptions and framework of OAIS reference model. It analyses the metadata framework which enables the long-term preservation of digital resources. The authors define the Chinese Metadata Schema largely base on the OAIS reference model. The Chinese Metadata Schema is composed of various information types: descriptive, administrative, technical, legal. This schema supports meaningful access to the archived Chinese digital content.
