摘要

GDLIS 是1995 年底研制成功的图书馆多媒体集成管理系统, 建立在RDBMS 之上。本文介绍了GDLIS 的研制方针、设计指导思想、系统总体设计结构, 并针对国内争论较多的开发平台的选择定位问题阐述了选用RDBMS 开发图书馆管理系统的优势。

Abstract：

Golden Disk Library Integrated System(GDLIS) was based on a RDBMS platform and developed in 1995 by Golden Disk Electronic Company,the pioneer of multimedia application software development and electronic publication in China.This paper introduces the background,objectives and principles of developing GDLIS and the overall structure of GDLIS.The technical highlights on handling MARC and the opinion on selection of development platforms are also presented.
