Electronic publication is a new medium in recent years, and has become one of library collection principally. However,CD-ROM disc that possess features such as close store density, big capacity, fast search, low price,long preserved life and so on is replacing the product of the magnetic medium for store.This paper introduces technological data of CD-ROM disc and driver, differences of printing publication, emphatically suitable place of CD-ROM disc in library. It is important and necessary to set up the multimudia sound and image room or the electronic publication reading room.
