Union Catalogue Profile Based-on Z39.50 Database Update Extended Service

Abstract  

This paper analyzes an union catalogue profile based on Z39.50 database update extended service; the profile can ensure creators conveniently perform all creation/update processes within their own workstation/systems environment using local client software. This makes possible for the efficient maintenance of the union catalogue.
