Development Direction of Content Based Image Retrieval

Content-based image retrieval is one of the most popular technique in image retrieval today. This paper is based on the localization of content-based image retrieval, and its primary aim is to study in the future development direction of content-based image retrieval from several aspects, such as the image data model, the valid feature
extraction, high semantic with the connection of the low layer semantic, high-dimension index, the combination feature retrieval, the image retrieval in compressed-domain etc.
