The Realization of Page-Pushing Technology in  Library’s Virtual Reference System

This paper introduces the exploration, practice and development of Virtual Reference System(RVS), with the emphasis on the design and technical exploration of the Page-Pushing module in digital library RVS in Nanjing Agricultural University. On the basis of the exploration and practice, the author puts forward that the realization of Page-Pushing function should be based on the ActiveX technology in Visual Basic 6, combined with Timer Widget in VB 6 and other widgets such as WebBrower, and thus developing Web sites which can realize the Page-Pushing function on the Internet.
