Mashup of Academic Database and Search Engine on Information Service

Based on the cooperation between VIP Information-database and Google Scholar, this paper explores the mashup opportunity of  academic database  and search engine, involving  concept premises, technology mechanism, mutual-interaction and reality influence. Meanwhile, this paper provides some resourceful thoughts as to the development of China’s academic database during the Cyber arena. The common ideas, as well as the capacity to balance the relationship between sociology value and commercial value,are two prerequisites for parties to Mashup-cooperation. Mutual exchange of internet advertisement, evaluation of archives utilization and the establishment of  an open information-transferring system, which originate from the Mashup-cooperation,  will bring academic database to a completely new era.
