Abstract  The paper gives an introduction about integrating some functions of Open Knowledge Organization System (OpenKOS) in CAS OpenIR,including the implementation and application of subject indexing for the metadata of production of knowledge, and DDC clustering of search results through calling the Web service of OpenKOS. The system basically achieves the initial goal that indexing and classifying digital resources automatically with the conventional knowledge organization ways.
