The paper analyses the concept of standardiztaion of information retrieval language the development of retrieval languag e in China is described.After that the influence of the Chinese Library Classification and the Chinese Thesaurus on the standardization of retrieval language is presented.At last the author points out the major trends of standardization of retrieval language in China.
