A Design Project of Vip Database Z39.50 Server

Abstract  

This article introduced a design project of Z39.50 server system in Vip Database. This project has two resolving methods: one based on TCP/IP, and the other based on HTTP. Then the author compared these two methods. This server system breaks through the application of traditional Z39.50 in providing only bibliographic data service. While it provides E-journal data service. So it is the specialty of this project.
