Research and Design of Instructional Reference Information Management & Service System

This paper elaborates the project objective and main content of instructional reference information management and service system. A detailed analysis is also given for the overall structure of this system.we analysis the concept and application of the OAI-PMH, and designs an instructional reference system with a two-tier structure consisting of a core system and several member libraries local system, in which data collection is distributed among all the member libraries. Finally proposes an effective solution for metadata harvesting module, which is a key part of the system.
