Abstract  A novel model of information retrieval system based on negative association rules and frequent itemsets mining is proposed, and its designing conception and the function of each module are expounded. And some key techniques to implement the model and searching algorithm are also expatiated. The results of experiment show that the proposed model can improve and enhance the performance of information retrieval effectively .
