After introducing the reference model and development of SOA，this paper discusses the framework of SOA standards, and the roles that these standards should be in the specification stack. Finally, the paper analyzes the utilization model of SOA standards with two applications.

According to the problem of no unified standard existed in transformation from thesaurus to Ontology, this paper introduces the knowledge organization system SKOS recommended by W3C as a standard in the transformation,analyses the characteristics of SKOS and transforms the chosen paragraph of UKAT thesauri to Ontology using SKOS core vocabulary, then evaluates the Ontology using skeletal methodology, and points out the characteristics and limitations of the Ontology.
This paper firstly introduces the concept of Web Services and Web Services composition. Based on the introduction of OWLS’s upper Ontology and its description for Web Services composition, the paper indicates that the capability of OWLS’s supporting for Web Service composition is limited, and the semantic expansion for composition based on Ontology is needed. By instance it introduces how to get the semantic expansion for WSDL, and based on the definition of Web Services, it discusses the definition of composability of Web Services, which is the basic for future automatic Web Services composition.
Combining the thesaurus with the traditional information retrieval technology, a new method is presented that family in thesaurus is used to describe the predefined topic.Also develops a focused-crawler based on this method. On which we compare its efficiency with other well-known Web search engine. The experimental results showes the effectiveness of our models and algorithms.
