摘要

近些年来, 由CAL IS 牵头组织的中国大学集团共引进了24 个学术数据库。这些数据库的引进为各学校的教学和科研活动的开展起到积极的文献保障作用, 但是如果不能对数据库的利用情况进行有效的分析和评价, 则无法确切地知道数据库的使用状况, 甚至给学校的财政带来浪费。本文将以全文数据库Elsevier ScienceD irect OnSite 在东南大学使用情况为例, 探讨文献资源对东南大学重点学科的满足度、用户所在学科分布和下载文献的时间分布, 数据库的购置成本和效益分析等, 以期望提高学术数据库的利用水平。

Abstract：

Lately, China University Consortium led by CALIS have imported 24 academic databases which have played an important role in the literature provision for many universities. If people couldn t correctly analyze and evaluate the usage of the academic database, it is certain that a few of universities would waste much money. This paper is taking the usage of Elsevier Science Direct OnSite in Southeast University as an example, and mainly discusses the degree for literature to meet the needs of emphasized disciplines, the distribution of end- users and the time to download the articles, the cost and benefit analysis of the database,and anticipates improving the level of the database usage.
