On Automatic Classification of Web Page in Virtual Library

Abstract  

The following aspects are discussed in this paper: (1)Overview of research and experiment on electric text and Web page automatic classification; (2)The difference between Web page automatic classification in virtual library and that in search engine; (3)Putting forward to a kind of method used for Web page classification in virtual library, (4)Giving a description of Web automatic classification system used in“library and information science” virtual library; (5)Discussing and analyzing the automatic classification  result.
