Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata  Harvesting and Its Application

Abstract  

The key of Open Archives Initiative protocol for metadata harvesting is building a proper cooperation between data providers and service providers, and then setup a proper framework for digital resource publishing and management. This paper is based on analyzing framework of OAI protocol, and discusses its application in detail.
