XML Data Storage Based on RDBMS

The methods of the XML data storage based on RDBMS can be classified into two types. The first type is based on the physical structure of the XML document, the second one is based on the logical structure of the XML document which is described by DTD or Schema. The first type can also be classified into the method based on the edges and the method based on the points. The paper studies and compares the given methods through an XML sample.
